Starting a small business can be difficult, here are a few tips to bear in mind before you do.

 

Find your niche and specialize in it.

It?s better to be excellent at one thing than to be mediocre at many. Offer fewer services or products but give your customers quality.

 

Plan the order in which you set up your business

Figure out what steps need to be taken to open your business and then put them in an order that makes sense. Eg. License software after you have opened a business bank account and only open the bank account after you have registered your business.

 

Check that all the social media profile names for your business are available

It?s good for continuity that all your social media profiles are the same. If it?s not possible to do that, try slightly alter the names like putting a ?the? or ?official? in front.

Delegate work

Learn to let go of all the tasks and to hand over work, don?t try do everything yourself because it?s not possible. Let someone else do some of the work so you can focus on the important things.

 

Start small and build up as you get more confident

If you start small with solid skills or products and build up as you grow and become more confident then there is less chance of disappointing your clients and it?s more likely to build a solid foundation for your business.
